Who do we recommend the botox-treatment to?
Botox is the ideal solution for those willing to correct, decrease the wrinkles they already have around the eye, between the eyebrows or on the forehead. In case you feel that you have very strong facial expressions the botox-treatment can help you to soften them as well.
What will happen during the botox-treatment?
In case you are suitable to have botox injections and you also wish to have the treatment it can be done immediately after your consultation. Before the treatment itself, we need to sterilize the skin area to be treated. Then the physician will shoot several tiny injections with a short and fine needle under your skin. The treatment is pain free except the slight discomfort when the needle pierces the skin, so there's no need for special pain killers to be applied. Rarely the skin becomes irritated, sensitive or bloodshot after the treatment at the injection points but these are very minor and usually disappear within a few hours.
Is the botox poisonous?
This amount of botox in not poisonous for our body. Botox has been used for several decades in Hungary to treat illnesses where the crampedness of the muscles is responsible for deformity, pain, kinetic disorders or motility problems. These can be: stress incontinence, the cramping of hand and leg muscles causing difficulty in using these limbs properly, squint, etc. During the treatment of these illnesses they inject several hundred units of botox to the respective muscles and it is still a safe method to cure. The several hundred units are still well under the limit of using the product safely. To the great contentment of these patients their symptoms disappear: they can use their hand or legs properly for months or their eyes became normal, etc. As oppose to the above mentioned usage of botox, while having an aesthetic or anti-wrinkle treatment only a small fraction of that portion- an average of 30-50 units- is injected even when the whole face is treated.
How long does the treatment take?
This “lunchtime treatment†can usually be done in about 10 - 15 minutes. Even the redness of the skin around the injection points happens only rarely as we use such a short and extra fine needle to inject botox under your skin. Very rarely occurs a sensitivity or minor bruising around the injection points, however, these are very minor and usually disappear within a few hours.
How long will the effect of the botox-treatment last?
The effect can be seen for four to six months. The more you use it the longer is lasts as while the skin is smooth (no more wrinkles are forming daily) the tissue under the wrinkles are recovering. During this time the cells responsible for the elacticity of the skin can be reproduced.
Will I look unnatural after treatment?
No, definitely not. We will only treat the specific muscles that are responsible for forming your wrinkles, minimizing any possible loss of facial expression. Friends may comment that you look more relaxed, but the treatment will not radically alter your appearance; it will simply reduce muscle activity. You will still be able to frown or smile as you used to.
Why do we not set the prices by the treated areas?
Every person is different that is why they will need different amount of botox used during their treatment, eg: during a wrinkle-treatment between the eyebrows one person my need 10 units of botox used the other one may need 25 units. We believe that it is unfair to treat a skin which is in a better condition than normal and accept a set price calculated on the average dosage needed for a treated area when in reality only a fraction on the raw material was needed. With us you only pay for the amount of botox we use for your treatment.
